Today, a phenomenon such as a laptop with a built-in Bluetooth or Wi-Fi adapter is quite common. It is turned on, as a rule, by turning on a special switch on the panel of the device itself. Turning on these devices is easy, but connecting them to the Internet is not easy.

Necessary

  • Software:
  • - Launch Manager;
  • - Bluetooth adapter driver;
  • - IVT Bluesoleil.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, you need to download and install the Launch Manager utility. To start it, you need to run the Setup.exe file. During the installation process, you need to specify the folder for installing the program, and then reboot the system.

Step 2

After rebooting, you need to turn on Bluetooth using a special lever on the laptop case. Then you should install the drivers, which usually come with your laptop. If there is no such disk, it is enough to find out the brand name of the Bluetooth adapter and find the latest driver by the name on the official website.

Step 3

Next, you need to install a program that will work with the Bluetooth adapter. After installing it, you need to configure it. When starting the program, check all the boxes, because almost all adapter models have a standard set of functions. In the next window, you will be asked to use the Settings Wizard; it is best to refuse its services.

Step 4

Now you need to configure your Bluetooth modem. Right-click on the My Computer icon and select Properties. On the Hardware tab, click the Device Manager button.

Step 5

Find your Bluetooth device and call properties by clicking the corresponding item in the context menu. Go to the "Additional communication parameters" tab to register the initialization string (you can get it on the website of your mobile operator). It is worth noting that an incorrect line entry leads to blocking of the connection from the operator's side.

Step 6

Start the Bluetooth environment, the shortcut of which should be on the desktop. In the window that opens, all devices whose signal is in the range of the adapter will be displayed. Connect to the phone from which the Internet will be accessed and go through the authentication procedure (enter the simple code "1111" or "1234" on the phone and on the laptop).

Step 7

Among the services that can be started, use Dial-Up Networking. After its launch, a login and password entry form will appear on the screen, which can be obtained from your mobile operator. Then click the "Properties" button, select the Bluetooth modem device and enter the connection number (* 99 #).

Step 8

Go to the "Parameters" tab and check the box next to the item "Show connection progress", all other checkboxes must be unchecked. After clicking the "OK" button, the Internet connection will start. If for some reason the connection could not be established, contact your cellular operator and find out the reason.
