Now you will learn how to quickly and easily connect the Internet on a laptop using the Asus PCI-G31 wifi adapter and the Beeline provider.
Instructions
Open the "Network and Sharing Center" and go to the "Change adapter settings" tab. Open Wireless Properties - Internet Protocol TCP / IPv4. Fill in the following fields: IP address 192.168.0.1, default subnet mask 255.255.255.0. Don't change anything else. Go to the properties of your VPN connection to the Internet, go to the "Access" tab and allow Internet access to the wireless connection that you configured earlier.
In the Network and Sharing Center, go to Wireless Management. Click "add", select a computer-to-computer connection (2nd option) and fill in the free fields: Network name, Encryption version, Password. Check the box “Save network setting”.
Now in the available wifi connections, find the name you specified and connect to your network. Note: You will not be prompted for a password. We don't need a computer anymore.
On the laptop, open the properties of the wireless connection - Internet Protocol TCP / IPv4. Write down the IP address 192.168.0.2, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, default gateway 192.168.0.1, DNS server 192.168.0.1.
Now open the available wireless connections, find the network name written on the computer and connect to it by entering the password. If you have not made a mistake anywhere, then a local network with Internet access should appear on your laptop.
When choosing a wifi adapter, check whether it supports the wifi distribution function, or only works on receiving a signal. Only the full-fledged option will suit you.
Before starting the configuration and for the period of using the network, it is better to turn off the firewall and all kinds of firewalls.
