The skill system is a standard cliche in any RPG game, from Fallout to F. E. A. R. 3. Therefore, the ability to get this or that skill for your character is vital for every video game lover.

Instructions

Step 1

Get to the next level. Leveling up your character is a basic requirement for all RPGs. Its essence lies in the fact that by completing tasks or killing enemies, you accumulate "experience", and, upon overcoming a certain value, your character gets level up. Together with it, you are assigned one or two skill points and ten skill points. By consistently investing the received bonuses in the skills you need, you will get a strong character with developed skills.

Step 2

Check the character class. In serious RPG projects like Newerwinter Nights or Diablo, the skill trees for each class are drastically different. Thus, playing, for example, as a witch, you basically cannot use skills related to auras, while a paladin cannot use fireballs. Sometimes there are single exceptions, for example, if a unique item (artifact or armor with special properties) makes it possible to use a specific spell. This is by no means a "rule" or a stable trend, so be familiar with your class's skill tree from the very beginning of the game.

Step 3

Examine the initial conditions. To maintain balance throughout the game, each skill has a number of initial conditions to acquire. For example: "To use the spell" Armageddon "your character must have" Intelligence "= 60, spell" fireball "of the fifth level and reach 53 level of development." A similar scheme kills two birds with one stone: firstly, the player will not receive powerful spells earlier than necessary; secondly, often the requirements for powerful skills are so different that it is impossible to complete everything at the same time, and the player has to plan the development of the character.

Step 4

Get Perks. The Fallout series is known for the richest set of unique character skills that are earned during the passage. For example, in the second part of the game, you could complete an additional quest and get the "slave trader" perk, which automatically assigned the character a passive skill "+ to damage to positive characters." A similar system can be found in many games - some of the skills are "exclusive" and are acquired through perks or additional tasks.
