Not every Internet user likes to read letters from an e-mail box on the online interface of the mail server. Sometimes it is much more convenient and efficient to view incoming and outgoing messages using special programs called "mail clients".
Instructions
Step 1
Thanks to the intensive development of software, many mail clients have been developed that take into account the most varied wishes of users. However, setting up mail for all mail clients is almost the same, including for Microsoft Outlook.
Step 2
To enable this software on your computer, connect to the internet and activate any internet browser. Download the Microsoft Outlook mail client from the site with free programs for Microsoft Office and install it on your computer.
Step 3
Activate Microsoft Outlook. When the main page of the program appears on the screen, find in the "Service" section at the top of the window the item "Accounts for e-mail." In the list that appears, select the option to add a new account.
Step 4
Go to the online help section of your mailbox and find the item about setting up mail clients. Copy the server type information and paste it into the add account window.
Step 5
Click on the next tab for settings, where you will see several cells for additional information on your inbox. Fill in your name (login) and password, as well as the addresses of the servers for outgoing and incoming messages, the names of the ports used and the encryption methods, using the data from the settings section in the online help.
Step 6
Click on the "Account Verification" feature to verify that the details and setup information you entered are correct. When the check is complete, select the next window and click on "Finish".
Step 7
The e-mail box you have created will appear in the left column of the main window of Microsoft Outlook. If you want to activate email on another server or multiple servers, repeat the entire process for each mailbox separately.
