Communication between the network space and computers, and therefore users, is carried out using special software - browsers. And in any popular browser there are settings for blocking certain sites. Let's consider this situation using Google Chrome as an example.
Instructions
Step 1
Open your browser and click on the wrench button located in the upper right part of the program. In the menu that appears, select "Tools" -> "Extensions". A new window will open, in which all the extensions installed in the browser will be displayed in a list. Click on "More extensions". If the list is empty, click the View Gallery button. The Chrome Web Store page opens.
Step 2
In the search box located in the upper right corner of the page, type "tinyfilter" and press Enter on your keyboard. Several extensions may appear in the search results, but you need to click on Tinyfilter. The found extension page will appear. Click on "Add to Chrome". A window will appear warning you that the extension being installed can access your data. Actually, if you refuse, you will not be able to install Tinyfilter and the further steps of the instructions will be absolutely useless for you. But if you clicked "Install", continue on.
Step 3
Open the Extensions window again, find the line with Tinyfilter and click the Settings button next to it. Find the Content Filter field and check the Block Site box. In the field to the left of this item, enter the name of the unwanted site, and then click on Add. To check if a site is on the list of blocked sites, click on the Blocked Sites drop-down list. If its name is there and corresponds to the one that you entered some time earlier, then everything is in order.
Step 4
To prevent anyone from getting into the extension's settings, set a password to access it. Check the box next to Enable Password Protection, and then click on the Set password button. In the next two windows, enter and confirm the password. For the changes to take effect, click the Save button located at the bottom of the Tinyfilter extension window.
