The problem of prohibiting access to the Internet on a computer running Windows can be solved both by the built-in means of the firewall and the Group Policy Editor, or by using additional software. The second option seems to be more preferable due to the more flexible settings of such applications.
It is necessary
- - Traffic Inspector;
- - TMeter;
- - NetPolice.
Instructions
Step 1
Download and install on your computer a specialized Traffic Inspector application created by Russian developers. The program is designed to control and organize Internet access parameters. There is a possibility of both a complete ban and partial (limited) access. There are management tools for the selected parameters: - speed; - type and size of uploaded files; - sessions; - type of connection The ability to completely block Internet access for an individual user or a group of users makes this application an indispensable assistant to the administrator.
Step 2
Use a similar program TMeter, designed to track traffic online and control user access to the Internet. The application authorization agent developed by the creators makes it possible to identify users using its own tools, while maintaining the ability to authenticate using the domain. Special mention should be made of NAT technology, which allows Internet access through one computer using a single IP address.
Step 3
Choose another specialized application to create your own rules for filtering and controlling access to the Internet - the NetPolice program. A proprietary database of unwanted network resources and the ability to restrict access to social networking sites, dating sites and Internet messaging services make using the NetPolice application a profitable investment. The preset password of the program guarantees the impossibility of bypassing the blocking of Internet access, even for a user with local computer administrator rights. Blocking Internet access for selected applications is also supported.
