So, for example, today there are resources that give the user a certain amount of time to be able to edit a message (from one to three hours from the moment of its publication). Some forums allow you to completely delete the posted message. Let's talk about how you can perform similar actions.

First, you must enter the forum using your username and password, and then leave a message in a specific thread. After the message is published, you will have the opportunity to edit it (this function is provided for all types of forum "engines"). To edit a post, you need to click on the corresponding link. You can find this link opposite the message itself. If you need to delete a post, the corresponding button will also be located in the field of the message you left (if such an option is provided). If deleting a post is not possible, you can simply erase the entry, leaving a set of characters instead (so that no one else can read the statement you wrote).

If you can't correct the message, you still have the option of deleting it, but you need good reason to do so. To put it simply, to delete your post, you must contact the section moderator. If he considers your request appropriate, the message will be deleted. Note that moderators do not always meet the user halfway with such requests.
