Each browser with default settings keeps a history of the user's movements on the Internet, available for viewing by anyone who has access to the computer. If, for privacy reasons, you wish to delete these entries, your browser may provide you with this option.
Instructions
Step 1
If you need to clear the history in the Opera browser, then you should open its menu and in the "Settings" section select the "Delete personal data" line. In the sweep settings window, all settings are hidden by default. Expand them by clicking the "Detailed settings" link and check the presence of a checkmark next to the "Clear browsing history" item. It doesn't hurt here to make sure that something useful will not be deleted along with the history. Once done, click the "OK" button.
Step 2
In Mozilla FireFox, to perform a similar operation, click in the "Tools" section of the browser menu, the "Settings" line. In the settings window, go to the "Privacy" tab and click the "Clear now" button to open a window titled "Delete personal data". Here you need to check for the presence of a mark next to the item "for other types of data and start the process by clicking the" Delete now "button.
Step 3
In Internet Explorer, the browsing history is called "browser history" and the way to delete it is through the "Tools" section of the menu. It contains the line you need - "Delete Browsing History". It opens a window divided into sections and in one of them ("Journal") there is a button "Delete history". When you click it, the browser will ask you to confirm the deletion of the entries - click "Yes".
Step 4
In Google Chrome, to go to the window for clearing browsing data, you can press the combination of the CTRL + SHIFT + DEL buttons, or you can expand the menu and in the Tools section select the line "Delete data about viewed documents". This browser removes history to the depth that you specify in the corresponding drop-down list. Remember to check the box next to "Clear browsing history" before clicking the "Clear browsing data" button.
Step 5
Apple Safari has a separate section ("History") in the browser menu for operations with the history of visits. The operation of its erasure ("Clear history") is placed in the very bottom line. After selecting this operation, the browser will ask for confirmation - click "Clear".
