Creation of a local network that allows users of a client computer to access the Internet is one of the most common tasks. Setting up a switch, or switching, strictly speaking, is not performed. A simple connection of all required wires is enough, and the configuration is performed on the user's computers.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the main menu of the Windows operating system on a computer that already has Internet access by clicking the "Start" button to perform the operation of setting up the switch and configuring the local network and open the "Control Panel" section.
Step 2
Expand the Network Neighborhood node and select the connection you are using.
Step 3
Call the context menu of the selected connection by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Properties" item.

Go to the "Advanced" tab of the dialog box that opens and apply the check box to the "Allow other network users to use the Internet connection of this computer."
Step 5
Confirm the application of the selected changes by clicking OK and return to the main menu "Start" to carry out the procedure for determining the IP address of the host computer of the network being created.

Go to Run and enter cmd in the Open box to launch the Windows Command Interpreter utility.

Click OK to confirm the run command and enter ipconfig in the command prompt text box.

Press the Enter function key to authorize the execution of the command and define the desired address.

Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the computer system to be included in the local network and does not have access to the Internet, go to the "Control Panel" item and expand the "Network Neighborhood" node.

Find the desired connection and open its context menu by clicking the right mouse button.

Specify the "Properties" item and go to the "Internet Protocol (TCP / IP)" tab of the dialog box that opens.

Enter the saved IP address of the primary computer in the fields "Default gateway" and "Preferred DNS server" and confirm the application of the selected changes by clicking OK.
