The history of visits is saved by any browser. However, not every user likes that someone else can find out about his walks on the Internet. Log entries can be manually deleted or the settings can be configured to automatically clean up at regular intervals. In this case, of course, all links, including the necessary ones, will disappear. There are several ways to view your browsing history.
It is necessary
- - access to the Internet;
- - Total Commander or another file manager;
- - file recovery program Handy Recovery.
Instructions
Step 1
Use the system restore function. This is the most accessible, although not particularly convenient way. Enter the "Start" menu, find the "Programs" tab, and in it - the line "Accessories". Select the "System Restore" function. On some versions of Windows, this tab is located under the Utilities section.
Step 2
After choosing System Restore, carefully read the help, which will appear as soon as you click the appropriate link. The fact is that when using this function, the changes that have occurred to your computer after the checkpoint are taken into account. The files created during this time will not go anywhere, but the program settings may change. The help indicates what you will gain or lose if you take advantage of the offered opportunity.
Step 3
Before restoring the system, make sure to save the changes to the files you just worked with and close all applications. After that click the "Continue" button and restore the deleted log.
Step 4
If you only want to view the history, but you do not need to "roll back" the entire system to the last checkpoint, use one of the deleted items viewer programs. There are many such programs, one of the most common is Handy Recovery. It is paid, but you can use it freely for a certain period of time. It is installed on a computer in the usual way. Close your browser, launch the program and scan the disk. This program has several analogues with free licenses.
Step 5
The interface of Handy Recovery program consists of two windows. The right one provides a browse function, while the left one shows the deleted files, among which is your log file. It must be selected and then restored. You will see the corresponding button at the top of the interface.
Step 6
Find the folder on the disk for the browsing history. It is usually located on the C drive, in the Program Files directory. Move the files that you just restored to it. Open your browser and see your browsing history.
