Many users are familiar with the sale of goods and services via the Internet. Hundreds of on-line stores are inviting customers, advertising their assortment in all possible ways. But there is a category of purchases and sales in which there are no stores or retail chains. We are talking about auctions. The most famous auction on the Internet is eBay.
Many users have heard about it often, but are not aware of how it works. For some, the process of buying or selling at an auction seems like a lengthy undertaking. But in reality, selling on eBay is not difficult. Moreover, this process delays to some extent.
- If you want to participate in its work, you must register as a participant. The registration procedure is paid - only 30 cents. For this ridiculous amount of money, millions of potential buyers will see your product on eBay.
- In order to sell goods, you must provide a valid credit card upon registration. This is necessary for your identification, and the auction will make sure that you are over 18 years old, and you, logically, will take both the participants and the goods more seriously. After registering, you can start forming an offer for the sale of your goods.
- To sell on E-Bay correctly and successfully, you first need to familiarize yourself with similar products offered for sale by other sellers. See how a similar product is described from others, what photos have been uploaded, what the seller has not told about unknowingly, or in order to hide something about the product. Remember to talk about the attractiveness and strengths of the product.
- To start the sale procedure, you must activate the Sell button at the top of any eBay auction page. The Sell Your Item page will load. On it you need to fill in the sections about the subject of sale - the name of the goods and their description. Then you need to specify the minimum bid, which will be the auction step if there is demand from the auction participants. Do not be lazy and provide additional information about the product being sold, and also place photos with the image of the product. One product photo will be accepted by eBay Picture for free on the site. Additional photos for one item cost 15 cents each. Specify the time frame during which the product will be offered for sale.
- In the Shipping & Payment Terms section, you must specify an acceptable payment method for you, an address for payment, as well as an address for sending the goods. In addition, you need to fill in the columns on the cost of shipping, and, if necessary, write instructions for shipping the goods. Check the entered information and confirm that everything is correct. From now on, your item is up for auction.
- When the auction ends, a letter will be sent to your e-mail, indicating the winner and the delivery address of the goods. When you receive a notification that the funds for the goods have been transferred to your account, you need to send the goods to the buyer at the specified address. Depending on the chosen method of receiving money (bank transfer or check), the buyer sends the money to the specified address during registration. Wait until the check is cashed and send the goods to the buyer.
- If the buyer paid for the purchase with a credit card, then for security reasons, the funds will first go to the eBay account, which will send a payment notification to your e-mail. After the buyer receives the purchased item, eBay will credit your credit card.
