Skype from Microsoft is a worldwide popular VoIP client. Skype allows millions of people to communicate with their family and friends. Often the task arises of recording video using this application.
It is necessary
- - a computer with a video camera;
- - Skype application;
- - Pamela for Skype.
Instructions
Step 1
In Windows 8, you can shoot video using the capabilities of the operating system. The Windows FastStone utility allows you to make videos in Skype by capturing an area of the screen and copying a sequential series of screenshots. Open Start, System Utilities tab, Windows FastStone.
Step 2
Immediately after starting the utility, select the "Capture Video" item. Press Rec (combination Ctrl + F12). You can stop recording a video call by pressing Stop (Ctrl + F11).
Step 3
For Windows versions below the eighth, a third-party application is required to record video in Skype. The exception is the Windows packages for Apple - there you can click on the Record button (the image of the red circle to start recording) right in Skype.
Step 4
Recording conversations can be useful when writing books, articles; to preserve memories and pleasant moments, for work purposes. The Pamela for Skype application can become a means of recording conversations. Download it from the official website (see Resources for a link). Install Pamela for Skype on your computer while the Skype application is running. Pamela for Skype will ask for access to Skype itself. In the main window of the video client, select "Allow Pamela for Skype to use confidential information."
Step 5
In the Skype taskbar, in the Applications and Games menu, you will see the Pamela for Skype item. To record a video call, select it. The toolbar will open, the key button of which is Record Call. The end of the recording is done by pressing the Stop record call button.
Step 6
You can view existing video calls either in the Skype message history or in the Pamela for Skype folder on your system drive (usually drive C). By default, all video recordings of conversations are in the avi format, but in the Pamela for Skype settings, the format can be changed to wmv or mp4.
