After creating a site, it must be transferred to hosting. For this, special programs for archiving sites are used. Each content management system has its own software for creating a site archive. Consider the archiving procedure using the Joomla management system as an example.

Instructions

Step 1

Download the Akeeba Backup component from the Joomla official website and install it on your website. To do this, go to the admin panel. Open the tab in the top main menu called "Extensions" and click "Install / Remove".

Step 2

Install the component in any way convenient for you:

- specify the path to the archive with Akeeba Backup and click "Download and Install";

- upload the archive with the component to the folder indicated in the "Install from folder" line and click "Install";

- write the URL where the Akeeba Backup extension is located, click "Install".

Step 3

Go to the component manager and enable Akeeba Backup. After launching it, the Akeeba Backup tab will appear in the top menu of the control panel in the section titled "Components". Click on the line with the archiver and open the program. You will see a page with archiving settings and the operation of the component itself.

Step 4

Click the blue Backup button located in the top row of Basic Operations. Site archiving will begin. Then download the Akeeba Kickstart software.

Step 5

Create on the hosting, where you plan to unpack the site, a folder called "www". Copy the archive, the unzipped kickstart file and the En-en.ini language file into it (copying is optional).

Step 6

Call kickstart.php through the command line of your browser. This address will look like this: http: / your_site / kickstart.php /. In the window that appears, click Start.

Step 7

After completing the main unpacking process, be sure to click "Run the installer". Proceed with the installation of the site for hosting. Leave all settings unchanged.

Step 8

Delete the folder called "installation" in the root of the site (the program offers to do this automatically at the end of unpacking the archive with the site), as well as the files from the kickstart archive created during the recovery of the site. Otherwise, scammers can use old copies of your sites for their own ends.
