ITunes is used to sync data with Apple devices. This program allows you not only to synchronize the desired content, but also to create ringtones for the iPhone, which can later be used as a melody for an incoming call.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch iTunes on your computer and go to the ringtone library section. You can also add the music you need to set up a call by dragging and dropping a file from any folder into the program window.
Step 2
Right-click on the song you want to use as a call. In the context menu that appears, select the Details option. Information about the melody file will be displayed in a new window.
Step 3
Go to the "Options" tab. Pay attention to the items "Start" and "End" of the menu of the device. Check the boxes next to these sections and set the desired time period that you want to leave for the ringtone. For example, set Start to 0:30 and End to 0:55. Please note that the phone cannot have melodies that are longer than 30 seconds. After completing the operation, click "OK" to apply the changes.
Step 4
Right click on the file again and select Create AAC Version. ITunes will convert the file and create a new ringtone according to the parameters you specified in the Properties. Right-click on the song again and click on the Show in Explorer option.
Step 5
Change the extension of the.m4a file that was created in iTunes to.m4r. To do this, right-click on the song and click "Rename". Erase the m4a value after the point and enter m4r.
Step 6
Delete the created short melody file from the library by selecting it with the right mouse button and choosing "Delete". Click the "Leave" button to save the file to be removed from the list on your computer. Then go back to File Explorer and double click on the.m4r file that will be added to iTunes.
Step 7
Connect your iPhone to your computer using a USB cable and left-click on the device icon in the upper right corner. After that, select the "Sounds" section and check the "Synchronize" checkbox next to it. Click "Apply" and wait for the operation to complete.
Step 8
Ringtone creation in iTunes is complete. You can select this ringtone in the menu "Settings" - "Sounds" - "Ringtone" iPhone.
