When decorating a website with a Flash splash screen, it is better to choose one that is not only beautiful, but also performs one function or another. These include, in particular, clock screensavers. The variety of such applets allows you to choose among them one that is compatible with the design of your site.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to one of the following sites:
Step 2
On the first of these sites, in the menu on the right, find the heading FLASH CLOCKS, and below it, the categories: Analog Clocks, Digital Clocks, Antique Clocks, Dark Clocks. Glow Clocks (luminous clocks), 3D Clocks (volumetric clocks). Choose one of these categories.
Step 3
Watch out for freezes when browsing the clock gallery, as many Flash applets will load at the same time. You can turn on the Opera Turbo mode before loading the page, and then launch the applets one by one manually by clicking on them. Find the HTML Tag Code link above the image of your favorite watch. Follow this link.
Step 4
At the bottom of the page that loads, find a field with a snippet of HTML code. Copy it to your clipboard and place it in the desired location in your web page code. If you use a content management system (CMS), make changes to the script so that this fragment is automatically placed in the generated pages. Be careful not to mess up the script when doing this. In the absence of such a system, manually place the code on all the pages that you want to include with the clock.
Step 5
On the second of the sites listed above, the HTML snippet field is located to the right of the applet. You do not need to follow any additional links. Just put the snippet from the field into the page code as above.
Step 6
Place the updated versions of pages or scripts on the server. Go to the site and check that the clock is actually displayed. Try to view the pages of the site using different browsers - every time the clock should appear where your creative idea envisions.
