When you need to design and build a network between two laptops (or netbooks), it is better to do without the use of network cables, which invariably threatens to decrease the data transfer rate. However, in this case, mobile computers remain mobile. The wires do not interfere, because they simply do not exist.
Instructions
Step 1
Most of the wireless adapters of netbooks and laptops do not support the Soft + AP function (actually creating a wireless access point). Nevertheless, two mobile computers can be connected to a local network, as much as possible, and both devices can be provided with access to the Internet.
Step 2
Turn on one of the laptops, if you have not already done so, connect the WAN cable to the connector on its network card.
Step 3
Make some settings for this connection. Pay your attention to the requirements and recommendations of your provider. Then check if everything is ok with the connection.
Step 4
Next, you need to configure the actual network between mobile devices. First of all, open the Network and Sharing Center. Then click on the "Manage wireless adapters" menu item. Find the "Add" button on the main toolbar, click on it.
Step 5
Next, you should be interested in the sub-item "Create a computer-to-computer network". Click on it with the left mouse button, then a window will open, glee will need to click on the "Next" button. Set the SSID of your network, select the type of security from the offered options. Then enter the key you need to get to your network access. Try to come up with a key that is as complex as possible, but at the same time easy for you to remember personally.
Step 6
Opposite the item titled "Save the parameters of this network" check the box, click on "Next", after which a window will appear. It will say that the network is already ready for use.
Step 7
You now need a second laptop. Turn it on to search for wireless connections. Select the network you have recently created and click on the "Connect" button, then enter the network access key in the new window.
Step 8
Now on the same laptop, open the settings of the wireless adapter. You need to select the properties of the TCP / IPv4 protocol and set the following parameters for the menu that appears:
- 135.135.135.2 - IP address;
- Subnet mask - selected by the system automatically;
- 135.135.135.1 - main gateway;
- 135.135.135.1 - DNS servers.
Step 9
On the first computer, open the same item that was specified in step 8. Here you only need to fill in one field - the IP-address field: 135.135.135.1.
Step 10
It remains to open access to the Internet for the second computer on the network. To do this, on the very first mobile device, open the Internet connection properties window, then select the tab called "Access". Then turn on the item that is responsible for sharing the global network. Here specify the network you created and save the settings.
