There are several ways to create a bright colorful Vkontakte group menu. However, changing the source code of an image is the most correct and accurate method.
Creating the right image
Find an image on the web that is suitable for the theme of your group. The default menu width is 370 pixels, so in any program that can resize images, adjust the dimensions to the desired width. It is best to work in Photoshop. Open in it a photo prepared for compiling a menu. On its background there will be menu buttons with inscriptions to go to the corresponding sections. The image must be zoomed in for ease of processing. Decide on the area where the menu will be located: using the Ruler tool, horizontally under the avatar, measure 370 pixels. Also, measure the place where the menu will end with a ruler.
Start creating buttons. First, you need to use a ruler to determine the middle of the rectangle in which the menu will be located (185 pixels) and create a new layer. Use the Rectangle Tool to make a button and reduce the Opacity to 60%, then duplicate the layer and place it where you want it. When all the buttons are ready, you need to write the names on them. To do this, click on the layer and use the "T" tool.
After all the labels have been completed, merge the layers, copy the resulting image using the Ctrl + C keyboard shortcut and create a new document. Paste in the resulting menu with buttons you copied. Next, select the buttons with the captions using the "cutting" tool and save the resulting images. Save all pictures obtained while working in Photoshop in a separate folder and upload this folder to your Vkontakte group. Since this image data is your working tool, in the album settings, set the view restriction to "Only group admins".
Creating menu buttons and related pages
Hover your mouse over your group's Menu. To the right of the "Menu" label, you will see the "Edit" button. Click on it. A field for inserting images will open. On the right, click the Visual Editing Mode button. Insert the images you have prepared using the "Add Photo" button. Each image must be inserted into a new line, so that you end up with a single picture of the previously "cut" parts. Click the Save button.
Click the Wiki Markup Mode button. You will see the code of your images like “[photo-11111111_303464615 | 370x63px |] ". Create pages for your buttons to point to. To do this, indent a few lines from your images and write the code for creating pages like [Page1], where the text "Page1" replace the text of the name of your button. Create as many pages as there are buttons.
Open each page in a new browser tab. Click the "Edit" button on each page that opens. After clicking on this button in the browser line, you will receive the addresses of your pages of the form "https://vk.com/page-11111111_111111111?act=edit".
Go back to visual editing mode. Click on the first picture, a window with parameters will open, where there will be a line "Link" for the address of the page to which the picture will lead. Insert the appropriate link to the menu page in the line. Click "Save". Links for each image are inserted in the same way. If you return to wiki layout mode, your menu will consist of several links, written in a column.
Delete lines likeso that they do not duplicate links to menu pages. Thus, you will get a single picture, the individual parts of which are links to the corresponding pages of your group. Finish the creation of the menu by clicking on the "Save" button.
