If you live in Moscow and you are satisfied with the low speed of data transfer, you can get access to the Internet absolutely free of charge. To do this, you will have to purchase an analog modem and connect to an Intellin provider.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the MGTS information service at the city number (495) 636-06-36. Follow the voice prompts to connect with a consultant. Give your address and full name of the person to whom your city phone number is registered. Ask at what rate you are served. It should be unlimited. If this is not the case, refuse to connect to the Intellin provider - it will not be free at all. ADSL access will provide faster speed and cost less.
Step 2
If it turns out that you are receiving city telephone services at an unlimited tariff, get yourself an analog modem. They are currently out of production, so you can only buy it on the radio market or online auction. It is recommended to use an external modem, because if such a device hangs, it can be rebooted without turning off the computer. Signal processing in it must be hardware, not software, otherwise it will not be compatible with all operating systems. It should also be designed for a data transfer rate of 56 kilobits per second. Do not buy modems for 14 or 33.5 kb / s - why additionally reduce the already low speed.
Step 3
Unlike an ADSL modem, an analogue splitter is not required. Plug it directly into any free telephone jack. Remember that while browsing the Internet, your landline number will be busy, so disconnect from your provider when you are not sitting at your computer.
Step 4
To connect to an Intellin provider, you do not need to pre-register and follow any other formalities. Use the city number (495) 783-60-54 or (495) 580-73-57, login prosto and password darom. Periodically check whether these numbers or connection conditions have changed by visiting the following website:
Step 5
If you are using the Opera browser, turn on Opera Turbo mode. To do this, find the button with the speedometer icon in the lower left corner of the browser and click on it. The mode is turned off with the same button. When enabled, the speed increase factor is displayed to the right of the speedometer. This happens by redirecting traffic through a proxy server in Iceland, degrading the quality of images, and refusing to force the download of Flash applets.
