I think I'm not the only one wondering how to delete a comment on Instagram. Sometimes I want to correct my own unfortunate comment, and also often there is a need to remove inappropriate, rude or advertising comments under my posts. There are several ways to solve this problem.
The good news: it is quite easy to delete comments on Instagram, this applies to both your comments and other people's opinions left under your posts. In this case, it does not matter from which device you entered the social network: from Android, IPhone, or from a laptop or desktop computer. If you don't want users to leave comments under your posts at all, you can disable this feature in your account settings. But I mostly only delete advertisements or opinions that could lead to stirring up conflicts.

From android, you can easily delete your own comments, chat and other people's opinions under your publications. The main thing is to update the application on time, otherwise some functions may not work.
Your comments
It's easy to remove your own comments. To do this, you just need to open the desired comment and just click on it and hold it for a few seconds, a menu will appear at the top that allows you to edit or delete comments. In order to delete a comment, you need to click on the trash can symbol and the text will be deleted immediately. Immediately after that, a red line will appear, with a message that your comment has been deleted, and you will also be prompted to restore it. If you do not take advantage of this offer, then after a few seconds, the deleted comment can never be restored. You can delete your comments both in your account and in someone else's.
Other people's comments
First you need to remember that other people's comments can be removed only under your own publications. If you do not like someone's comment under someone else's post, then the maximum you can do is to complain about him, for this you also need to click on the comment, and then select the symbol with an exclamation mark in the top line. With regard to deleting unwanted comments under your posts, this operation is carried out in the same way as deleting your own comments. You can select several comments at once and delete them in one go.
Removal instructions on iPhone
Removing comments on an iPhone is also no big deal. To do this, you need to log into your account and find the desired post, and then select the desired comment. To delete it, you just need to swipe the text aside, the trash can icon will appear, after deleting the message there will be a few seconds during which the comment can be restored. If this is not done, the comment will be deleted permanently. This applies to both your comments and other people's opinions under your publications. The main thing is to update the application regularly, otherwise some functions may not be available.
When using a social network on a computer
In general, Instagram is intended for use on a mobile phone. But it can also be used on a computer, although the functionality of the social network will be significantly limited. To delete a comment using a laptop or PC, you need to open the post and find the unwanted message, then click on the 3 dots located right next to the comment and select "Delete" in the pop-up window. The comment will be deleted instantly.
However, if there are a lot of unwanted or advertising comments, you will have to delete them manually, which will take a lot of time. You can disable other users from commenting on your photos or even restrict access to the page if spam continues.
