Then you need to see the IP of the computer from which you are going to check the wi-fi connection, as well as the MAC address of the device. To do this, type ipconfig / all at the command line.
After that, you need to go into the settings of the router itself and find the section "Wireless Status", "Wireless Statistics" or "Wireless Clients" or "Wireless Statistics". You will see the latter if the modem is Russified. If you do not know how to find the settings of the router, then enter the following numbers 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 in the address bar of the browser. You can also find papers on the router and look there.
After you get into the settings, see how many devices are connected to the router. At the same time, the statistics reflect the device address, encryption type and the number of transmitted packets.
Compare the MAC address or address of your device or devices with those found. Found an extra one? Enter the password or change the old one. In addition, the router offers the ability to block unwanted addresses by setting the Disabled parameter for it.
