All pages located on the same server have a common IP address that matches the server's address. You can find it out using console commands or sites specially designed for this.
Instructions
Step 1
The easiest way to find out the IP address of the server on which the page of interest is located is to use the ping console command. It is available on both Linux and Windows. As an argument, you must enter not the full URL of the page, but only the domain name of the server on which it is located. Even the line https:// should be omitted. For example, if the page address looks like https://domainn.ame/folder/otherfolder/page.html, you would enter the following line: ping domainn.ame, where domainn.ame is the domain name of the server. In Windows, four requests will be sent to the server, after which the program will end automatically. In Linux, it will have to be terminated manually by pressing Ctrl + C. In the first of the lines displayed by the program, you will find the IP address of the server on which the page is located. Under no circumstances use command keys that make requests too long - the server will perceive such actions as an attack and will block you for a long time.
Step 2
When browsing the Internet on a tablet or mobile phone, the command line is not available. To find out the IP address of the server with the page you are interested in, go to the following site: https://2ip.ru/lookup/. Enter the domain name in the “IP address or domain” field, and then click the “Check” button. Wait for the page to reload and you will receive the requested information.
Step 3
It is much more interesting to get information about the entire chain of nodes connecting your computer to the server on which the page is located. To do this, use the traceroute (Linux) or tracert (Windows) command. For example: traceroute domainn.ametracert domainn.ame The program will gradually output information about the IP addresses and domain names of all intermediate nodes as the request progresses. When the utility reaches the server on which the page you are interested in is located, it will automatically stop.
