If you have several computers or laptops at home, then it is most reasonable to combine all these devices into a local network. Naturally, in this case, there is a desire to provide computers with Internet access.

It is necessary

network card, network hub (when three or more PCs are connected)

Instructions

Step 1

Let's consider a situation where you have three computers. You can, of course, conclude three contracts with the provider for the provision of Internet access services. Everything is quick and simple, but there is a big disadvantage - not everyone wants to pay for three accounts.

Step 2

Let's consider examples of creating a local network with Internet access on our own. In this situation, we need either a router or a network hub. The second option is cheaper, but relatively inconvenient. The fact is that when computers are connected to a network hub, they will receive synchronous access to the Internet only under one condition: one of them must act as a server.

Step 3

Let's dwell on this option. Select the computer that will distribute the Internet connection channel. Install an optional network adapter into it. Connect this device to a network hub. Note: if the local network will include only two computers, then the network hub will not be needed at all.

Step 4

Connect the internet cable to the server computer. Set up a connection to the provider's server. Open the properties of this to other network users to use this computer's internet connection. The second NIC will automatically receive a static (permanent) IP address 192.168.0.1.

Step 5

Connect the second computer to the first using a network cable. Open the network adapter settings on the second PC. Go to TCP / IP properties. Activate the item "Use the following IP address", and specify its value equal to 192.168.0.2. In the third and fourth fields of this menu, enter the IP address of the server computer.

Step 6

Pay attention to the following nuance: if you need to connect several PCs to the server, then use a network hub.
