Laying a network cable is easy. It is much more difficult to crimp an internet cable by attaching it to a connector. Unfortunately, the main problem for anyone who wants to crimp the cable on their own will be the presence of a crimping tool and a tester, which costs a lot. But they can be rented from a computer workshop.
It is necessary
- - Twisted pair;
- - Connector;
- - Crimping Tools.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the cable to the desired length with a small margin. Strip it by cutting off the braid by about 2 cm. This can be done with the same crimping tool, which has special blades designed for stripping.
Step 2
Untwist all the conductors of the cable, sorting the conductors in pairs according to the principle of white + color, color. For example, white-orange is orange. The sequence is as follows: blue, orange, green, brown. After sorting the conductors, trim them so that their protrusion above the insulation is the same.
Step 3
To connect the cable to the connector, you need to take it with the latch away from you and insert it into the grooves of the wire, observing the above sequence. The conductors should experience some resistance when inserted into the grooves and abut against the end wall. The cable sheath must be clamped in the connector.
Step 4
It remains only to insert the connector with the cable into the crimper pliers and crimp.
Step 5
Be sure to check if the cable is connected correctly. It is checked with a tester into which the cable is inserted at both ends. If the lights are on, then the connection is made correctly.
