Step 1
If, after downloading a file from the Internet, the computer automatically restarts, it is most likely that an infection has occurred. It remains only to understand which area the virus attacked. Often it manifests itself in the form of a pornographic banner containing information about the impossibility of using certain PC capabilities. For example, malware can block access to the Internet or the operating system, disrupt browsers, or hijack your account on certain websites. When you start the computer and programs or try to enter your personal account, as a rule, a pop-up window appears with a warning about the impossibility of performing operations and a request to send an SMS to a short number in order to restore access.
Step 2
Do not send SMS, as the malware and the short number are not interconnected in any way. This is a trap that will slam shut immediately after the funds are debited from the phone account. Naturally, you will not receive any unlock code in return. Therefore, in any case, you will have to get rid of the banner in other ways.
Step 3
Try to guess the password by restarting your computer and turning it on in Safe Mode. This can be done on special sites, for example, https://sms.kaspersky.com/ or https://www.drweb.com/xperf/unlocker/. If, after several code entries, a positive result was not achieved, then leave this idea and use other methods.
Step 4
To get rid of a banner blocking access to the Internet or not allowing you to log into your account, clean the Hosts file located in Windows / system32 / drivers / etc / hosts. Open it with standard notepad, delete everything below the line 127.0.0.1 localhost, then save the changes, scan your computer with antivirus and reboot the machine.

If you cannot get rid of the banner, then download the utility https://support.kaspersky.ru/viruses/avptool2010?level=2 or https://www.freedrweb.com/cureit/ to a flash drive and use it to scan all files. The check time, as a rule, is at least 2 hours, depending on the size of the occupied memory and the processor power. But this method is the most reliable of all those listed and allows you to eliminate the problem in almost every such case.
