Various Flash objects can be used as standalone gadgets, such as simple games or postcards. But more often they are used to decorate the pages of websites, as part of the design or as an advertising element - a banner. In both cases, the procedure for placing a flash element will consist of two main operations - uploading a file to the server and changing the source code of the web page.
Instructions
Step 1
Upload the flash element to the site server. This can be done using a dedicated FTP client program if you have FTP access to the server. Most often, if the account provides for the use of FTP, there is a section in the site control panel where the account owner must create a login with a password and get an address for the FTP client. Enter these data into the program, establish a connection and save the flash file to the desired folder.
Step 2
If you administer the site through the management system and do not have FTP access, download the flash element using the built-in file manager in the system. Almost every content management system has this tool, but its placement in the menu of each CMS is different.
Step 3
After the required file is copied from the local computer to the server, specify its address for access via the http protocol. To make sure it is correct, paste the link you created into the address bar of your browser and press Enter - if the flash element appears on a blank page, albeit in distorted proportions, then everything is in order.
Step 4
Place a link to the flash file in the required page of the site. If it is placed on a site for downloading by visitors, it should be a regular link - for example, for a file called flash.swf located at https://kakprosto.ru/ and the explanatory text “Download Flash” the link may look like this:
Download Flash
Step 5
If Flash is to be displayed in the page as one of the elements of its design, place a set of tags in the source code. For example, for a Flash element with the name and address from the previous step and dimensions of 300 by 500 pixels, these tags might look like this:
Step 6
Save the edited source page and this will complete the procedure.
