The HTML code for displaying Flash site elements is significantly different from the similar code for regular images. In addition to this, the procedures for inserting website design elements made using flash technology and simple graphic elements have very little differences.

Instructions

Step 1

Start by uploading the actual Flash movie file to your site's server. The easiest way to do this is using a file manager - it allows you to upload and download files to the server directly through your browser. This option is available in the control panel of any hosting provider. Site management systems also have such a unit in standard sets. But if you are constantly planning to upload / download files to the servers of your sites, then it is better to choose a resident program - FTP client. These programs are similar in functionality to the standard Windows Explorer - they organize and move files between your computer and the server using FTP (File Transfer Protocol). It is not difficult to find both paid and free options on the Internet. Of course, they will take time to search, download and install, as well as mastering and entering settings for working with your FTP server.

Step 2

After uploading, you need to prepare the HTML code for embedding the flash movie into the source of the website page. Open any text editor (for example, notepad), and if you have any specialized code editor, even better. Create a new document and add these HTML (HyperText Markup Language) tags to it:

Use this code as a template for your video. Here, in two places, the width and height of the flash object are indicated -. Find them and replace them with values that match the size of your flash file. Also, the name of this file is indicated in two places - value = "flash.swf" and src = "flash.swf". Replace both names with your file name.

Step 3

Now you need to insert the prepared code into the page source. Open the required page in the editor of the content management system, and if you do not use the management system, then download the page file and open it in the same editor in which you prepared the embed code. In the case of the control system editor, after opening the page, switch it from visual mode to source code editing mode. Then find the place in the page code where you want to see your Flash object, copy the prepared HTML-code and paste it here. Then save the modified page. If you downloaded it from the server, download it back with the same file manager or FTP client.
