ICQ is an application for instant text messaging, small files in a variety of formats, making phone and video calls. Thanks to its colorful animation, it has become popular among millions of users, and perhaps among these millions there is one or more people with whom you do not want to communicate.

Step 1
Before removing your account from ICQ, consider a less drastic remedy. For example, add a contact to the ignore list: move the cursor over the name, right-click, select the "Ignore" command. From now on, until the user is removed from the ignore list, you will not see a single message printed by him, although you will see if he is typing.
Step 2
You can add a contact to the list of the blind by selecting the corresponding command in the same menu. In this case, even if you are online, the user will be sure that you are not.
Step 3
If you still want to delete your ICQ account, but do not want to advertise it, stop using it for a while (a month or two). After that, delete the entire account from the page indicated under the article.
