Sometimes Internet users need to save a site or resource that they like. Most often, the Bookmarks tool is used, but in this case, you cannot view pages in offline mode.
Necessary
- - Internet browser Mozilla Firefox;
- - addon ScrapBook.
Instructions
Step 1
This add-on allows you to save the selected site in the browser's memory, which can be viewed even if there is no Internet connection. The uniqueness of this plugin lies in the ability to save all attachments (documents and archives).
Step 2
Installation is done directly through the browser. In the main browser window, click the top menu "Tools" and select "Add-ons". In the window that opens, go to the search bar and enter the name of the ScrapBook plugin. Install it and restart your browser.
Step 3
If the plugin cannot be installed in this way, try an alternative option: go to the following link https://addons.mozilla.org/en/firefox/addon/scrapbook/, click the "Add to Firefox" button. After installing it, don't forget to restart your browser.
Step 4
By default, this add-on is integrated into the main window and is displayed in 3 places: context menu, sidebar and status bar. To move the plug-in icon to any panel, click the top menu "View", then select the items "Toolbars" and "Customize".
Step 5
To save the entire web page, you need to call the context menu (right-click), select the "Save page" item and click on the name of the directory in which you want to save the site content. It is also possible to create your own directories to accommodate the saved pages. To do this, select the "Select catalog" item in the context menu.
Step 6
To select the format of the content to be saved, on the context menu, click Save As. In the window that opens, on the "Basic Information" tab, check the boxes next to the required lines in the "Content Download" block. Click the Save button to close the window.
