Step 1

It is very easy to view the history of messages in ICQ. To do this, in your contact list, select the user with whom you want to read the correspondence, and right-click on his name. In the context menu that opens, select the "View history" line. A History window will open on your computer, in which you will find a list of all messages. Messages sent from you to the interlocutor will be highlighted in red, and from the interlocutor to you in green. The list starts with the oldest messages, the most recent correspondence is at the bottom of the list. In order to view the entire message, just click on it and it will open in the lower window.

Step 2

If you do not want your messages to be saved in ICQ, or your personal correspondence may be available to someone, you can independently change the program settings. To do this, go to the ICQ menu, select the "History" line and in the window that opens, find the "History settings" section. After that, the "Options" window will open on your computer, in which you can adjust the settings to save the message history or even cancel this function altogether.

Step 3

You can also delete an already saved message history. To do this, you need to open the history of correspondence with the interlocutor, select the lines with the left mouse button and press the "Del" button on the keyboard. You can confirm the deletion of the text by selecting and pressing the "Yes" button in the window that opens.
