It is not difficult to find out how much incoming traffic was in a specific period of time. Incoming traffic can be checked using special software. If your tariff package for Internet access involves paying for incoming traffic by megabytes, then this will be useful.
Necessary
- - access to the computer as an administrator;
- - a computer with Windows OS;
- - firewall, with permission for the installed software.
Instructions
Step 1
Download the program for obtaining statistics on incoming traffic for free on the developer's website. For example, the NetWorx program. The site will offer to download such versions of the program as: “Portable” and “Installer.” To run the program without installation, you need to download “Portable”, the “Installer” option provides for the installation, so for further convenience download the first version of the NetWorx “Portable” program.
Step 2
In any folder of the section where the user's documents are located, create a NetWorx folder. For the convenience of launching the program on other computers, create this folder on the flash card. Unpack the archive downloaded from the developer's site into the folder you created. Go to the NetWorx folder and run the file called networx.exe.
Step 3
When starting the program for the first time, configure the parameters for subsequent work. To display the text, select the language and network adapter for which you want to scan inbound traffic. If there are several network adapters, then you need to select the "All connections" item, with which you can control all incoming traffic on your computer. To agree to the operation, click the "Finish" button.
Step 4
After the NetWork icon appears, double-click the left mouse button on it, a window will open that contains statistics. Click on the tab you are interested in to display more detailed information.
