A lot of information and entertainment resources have recently appeared on the Internet, which are of interest to different types of network users. You can open a resource (site) you like by opening a link leading to it.
Necessary
Basic personal computer skills, Internet access
Instructions
Step 1
The simplest and most common way to open a link to a resource can be done as follows:
- Find the very link of the Internet resource of interest. It can be in the form of a picture, button, text or line with an address (for example, like "https://" or "www …");
- Open a link by clicking on it once with the left mouse button;
Step 2
The second way to open a link:
- Click on the link once with the right mouse button. A list of possible actions will appear;
- In the appeared squeak, select the line "Follow the link". In some browsers, the link opening line may be called "Open in new window" or "Open in new tab". If you choose the first option, the link will open in a new window of your browser, separate from the rest of the open sites. In the second case, the link will open in a new tab without closing the current page.
Step 3
If the link came into your hands not from any site, but from a third-party source, then you need to follow these steps to open it:
- Select the entire link (while holding down the left mouse button, move the cursor from the beginning of the link text to its end);
- Call a menu of actions over the selected text by right-clicking on it once;
- In the list that appears, select the line "Copy";
- Next, you need to open your browser;
- Right-click in the address entry line;
- In the action menu, select the line "Insert";
- After the text of the link appears in the address bar of the browser, you must click on the "Go" button (it is usually located to the right of the address bar). You can also press Enter to follow the link.
