SSL certificate is used by many websites and servers for security purposes. This technology is compatible with all major browsers and operating systems. The purchased SSL certificate is in the form of a text file with encrypted information that can only be recognized by your server during installation.
Instructions
Step 1
Copy the SSL certificate files to your Apache server. Find the configuration file to edit, which is usually located at / etc / httpd and has the conf extension. Open the document in a text editor and check it for the block containing the server setting. Install an SSL certificate code in each block. Save the file to complete the installation.
Step 2
Create a CSR to get the private key for the Courier IMAP server. Create a new file that will contain information about the SSL key and certificate. Moreover, there should not be blank lines between them. Save the document with the pem extension to the required server directory, and then restart it for the settings to take effect.
Step 3
Go to your cPanel server control panel and select the SSL / TLS Manager section. Select Upload a New Certificate and click the Browse button, then specify the path to the SSL certificate file. If the certificate data is provided as an e-mail message, then copy this information into the Paste the crt below field. Click on the Upload button. After that, go to the Ca Bundle item and follow the same steps with the intermediate certificate. After that click on the Install Certificate button to save the settings.
Step 4
Copy the SSL certificate to the Exchange server. Start the management console and navigate to the Exchange Management Console section. Select Manage Databases and open the Server configuration menu. Specify the path to your certificates and click the Complete button. Then complete the operation and restart the server.
Step 5
Read carefully the instructions for installing an SSL certificate on your server depending on its type. Typically, this information is provided by the seller. Otherwise, you can find it on the Internet at specialized sites.
