A search engine is a collection of various software and hardware, the main task of which is to search for information on the Internet. For an ordinary user, a search engine is a regular web interface, which additionally has the function of searching for various data and network resources.
At the heart of any search engine is the so-called search engine, which is a set of software solutions for the purpose of ensuring the functioning of the search engine. As a rule, the mechanism of its action is a trade secret of its developers.
Currently, there are many search engines, the most famous of which are: Google, Nigma, Yandex, Bing and some others. Each of these systems is based on the principle of keyword scanning. Any resource or site on the Internet is indexed (or, to put it more bluntly, registered) by a search engine for a reason, but by applying for indexing to the administration of a particular search engine. In response, the administration announces the necessary conditions for this. As a rule, these conditions are rather lax and consist in adding any tags on the main page of the resource.
After adding tags, the search engine starts scanning the code of all pages of the resource. The process will go much faster and easier if keywords are specified in the resources provided for indexing. Key words mean a set of words and phrases for which a search engine, when requested from a user, would be able to select a given resource from a set of others.
At the moment, pure search engines no longer exist. In addition to the search engine itself, its developers provide users with e-mail services, electronic money, communication systems between search engine users, as well as a number of pleasant little things like monitoring weather conditions, traffic jams, etc., depending on the tastes of the developers.
