Vkontakte is a popular Russian social network, with over 260 million registered users, according to the developers. One of the main methods of communication here is private messages, of which each user can have quite a lot.
Vkontakte messages
Vkontakte personal messages are a method of transferring various kinds of information from one user of this social network to another in a private mode. At the same time, the nature of the transmitted information can be different: for example, a significant part of it is made up of text messages, however, they can be diversified by adding to the text various emoticons that convey the sender's emotions, as well as attach additional attachments to the text. These applications can be photos, video or audio recordings, documents, or even maps.
In addition, the considered social network provides the ability to simultaneously send the same message to several users. You can select this option while creating a message: for this, in the "Recipients" field, after selecting one of the addressees, press the "Add" button that appears here. This will bring up a list of possible recipients from among your friends, from which you should select the recipients of the message.
Viewing messages
In order to view all messages received and sent by the user from the moment of his registration in the social network, you should pay attention to the menu on the left side of the screen, located directly under the Vkontakte logo. One of the positions of this menu - "My messages", which should be selected in order to go to the section of private messages.
Clicking this link with the left mouse button will bring you to the private messages section. At the top of the section, the total number of conversations will be displayed, that is, message threads formed in the course of communicating with your friends or third-party users. These chains themselves will be shown below, and by default they will be sorted in the order of receipt or sending of the last message in this chain: first, new ones, and below - older ones.
The display of rungs includes two main fields. The left one contains the name of the interlocutor along with his image and the date of sending the last message in the chain. To the right of this field is another one, which contains the text of this last message, or part of the text in case the message turned out to be long enough.
You can view all messages included in the dialogue with a given user by left-clicking on this text. This will cause a transition to the dialogue tape, where all the correspondence with this interlocutor will be reflected, moreover, newer messages will appear at the bottom of the tape, and older ones at the top.
