If, after buying a new smartphone, you want to install an application or a game, and when you try to install, an error window popped up for you, this means that your mobile phone is blocked. Without unlocking, you will not be able to download anything to it. This problem is solved by signing the application with a personal certificate.

How to sign an application with a certificate

Necessary

  • - mobile phone with symbian os;
  • - Personal Computer;
  • - USB cable.

Instructions

Step 1

Download the SISSigner archive with additional programs. The "cert" folder has a "mykey" file inside. Replace the original with the "SISSigner" installation file. First, install the SISSigner program, then replace the cert file with the additional archive. Now you have a personal certificate with a key (which you received in advance) and an application for signing.

Step 2

Go to signing the application. Let's see how to do this using the SISSigner program. We go to the folder with the program "SISSigner". Copy the received certificate (file "cer") and key (file "key"). After that, we transfer them to the folder with the program, or the game for the smartphone, which needs to be signed.

Step 3

Launch "SisSinger" and specify the paths to the files in it: the path to the "key" key (which you received in advance when ordering) and to the certificate "cer" (which you also received in advance). Enter the password for the "key" file (standard 12345678), and for the program to be signed. You do not need to rename the certificate and key files - the main thing in the SisSinger program is to specify the path to them correctly. Press the button "Sign". The app is now signed and can be downloaded to your phone.

Step 4

There is also a second way. We use the Signsis application for signing. This program does not require working with the command line "DOS" and entering paths in the program itself. You just need to install and configure it just once. After that, you will have the opportunity to sign programs that are located anywhere on the hard drive. Download and extract the "Signsis" archive. There are four files in this archive: "install1.bat", "install2.bat", "uninstall.bat", "signsis.exe". We copy them to the same directory where we extracted our certificate and key. Rename the certificate to "cert.cer" and the key to "cert.key". Open the "install1.bat" file in notepad and change the "set password1" parameter to any other password (standard 12345678).

Step 5

With the program we change the path to the folder in the values "set disk_ins" and "set app_path2". In this example installation, the program is located in the folder: D: Nokia6290sign_sis. Therefore, you need to change this value to the following: set disk_ins = D: set app_path = Nokia / 6290 / sign_sis. We save the file in a notepad by clicking on "Save". Run the "install1.bat" file. If everything is done correctly, then you will have an item: "Sign with a personal certificate". Select the application you want to sign. Click: "Sign with a personal certificate". At the end of the process, a jailbroken file will appear next to the unsigned file, and the word "signed" will be added to its name.
