Browser cache - the amount of its RAM, which contains information about all visits to Internet sites, images viewed on them and downloaded media files.
Instructions
Step 1
Many people are familiar with the situation when the site does not load well, or when expensive Internet traffic "eats up" money for viewing sometimes unnecessary images or loaded pages. To reduce the amount of incoming traffic and speed up the loading of information, there is a browser cache. All pages opened on the Internet are saved in the cache, so that when you re-open the site from the same browser, the page will not be loaded directly from the Internet, but will open thanks to the browser memory. Perhaps, when using different sites, this function is of little value, however, frequently visited pages and information are loaded from the cache, which means they save downloads and consumption of incoming traffic.
Step 2
By default, cache memory is activated on every browser, but the user can change the settings on his own. If you have ever disabled automatic memory cache, it makes sense to start using this function again, while adjusting its parameters.
Step 3
The activation of memorizing the cache in the Opera browser is located in the "General settings" folder, open it through the "Menu" of the web browser. You can also specify this command with the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + F12". In the Settings folder, open the Advanced tab. Find and click on the "History" section in the left column.
Step 4
Cache settings are individual for each user and are selected taking into account his needs. However, there are simple guidelines for most users. It is better not to reload the browser memory with more than 1000 addresses, especially if you activate the function "Remember the contents of visited pages" (which is desirable to reduce the page load time). Turn on "Cache in memory", select the required amount of memorized information or stop at the "Automatic" column. Disk cache does not need to be rebooted as it uses up free space on your computer's system hard drive. Check the box next to "Clear on exit" if you want to remove the volume of visited pages from the cache. However, if you visit the same sites from day to day, you should not clear the cache every day, because it will fill up every day as well. Clear the cache manually, roughly drawing up a schedule for its filling: it is individual for each user and depends on how much he uses the Internet.
Step 5
To work with the cache settings in the Mozilla Firefox browser, click on the "Menu" button and open the "Settings" section. Open the "Additional" section. The cache settings are located in the "Network" tab.
Step 6
To configure the cache in the Google Chrome browser, click on the "Settings" button and in the context menu that opens, select the "Tools" section, and in it - "Delete browsing data". Also, this menu item is opened by the command "Ctrl + Shift + Del".
