The procedure for enabling the Network Connectivity Service is a standard action in the Microsoft Windows operating system and can be performed by the user without using additional software.
Instructions
Step 1
Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the Microsoft Windows operating system and go to the "Control Panel" item to perform the operation to enable the network connection service.
Step 2
Open the "Administration" node by double-clicking and go to the "Services" item.
Step 3
Open the "Network Connections" element by double-clicking and go to the "General" tab of the dialog box that opens.
Step 4
Apply the checkbox in the Startup Type field:
- auto - for permanent work of the service;
- manually - to run as needed;
- disabled - to disable the service
and click OK to apply the selected changes.
Step 5
Return to the main Start menu and go to Run to determine the status of the Network Connectivity Service.
Step 6
Enter services.msc in the Open field and click OK to confirm the execution of the command to run the snap-in.
Step 7
Determine the status of the required service and return to the main Start menu.
Step 8
Go to Run and enter regedit in the Open field.
Step 9
Click OK to confirm the launch of the Registry Editor tool and expand the following branch:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / System / CurrentControlSet / Services / Netman.
Step 10
Select the Start = dword: parameter and use the following values:
- dword: 00000004 - to disable the service;
- dword: 00000003 - to manually enable the service;
- dword: 00000002 - for automatic activation.
Step 11
Exit the Registry Editor utility and restart your computer to apply the selected changes.
