Minecraft is a sandbox game created several years ago by a single developer and has become extremely popular today. The whole world of "Minecraft" consists of cubes that you can break and then build something from them. As in any other world, there are conditions, peculiarities, rules and even varied weather here. For example, some players are annoyed by rain, as it makes the game "slow" on weak computers. Those who have a powerful computer, on the other hand, want to know how to turn on the rain.
general information
Rain in Minecraft is a weather phenomenon that is accompanied by a variety of processes and effects that affect the world of the game. Among the effects, the most obvious ones can be distinguished - water particles falling to the surface of the earth, a special soundtrack (sometimes sounds of thunder), etc. Rain was added to Minecraft in version 1.5 Beta.
Rain works in both singleplayer and multiplayer versions. He can be seen falling from the sky in a place where there are no block obstacles. This phenomenon does not affect the gameplay at all. When a raindrop hits the block, a splash animation plays. To prevent the game from overloading, and with it the computer, the rain is not spread over the entire map.
Turning rain on or off
There are times when rain gets in the way, or vice versa, is necessary. There are special commands to control the weather. For example, typing the command / weather sun 100000 will remove rain for a very long time. With the / weather rain 100000 command, you can turn on the rain for a long time.
The digital value can be adjusted at your discretion, in addition, you can use the / weather rain 1 command, which will turn on the rain only for a very short time. Rain or snow is still turned off or on with the / toggledownfall command.
Impact on the world
Water falling from the sky leads to wetting of wolves, extinguishing fires on mobs and surfaces (except for the fire of a hellish stone), and moistening the beds. Among other things, the rain increases the chance of catching fish in bodies of water. Rain can only fall on surfaces located horizontally under the open sky and nothing else.
The rain extinguishes burning arrows, and the Enderman, snow golem and ifrit take damage. Moreover, the Wanderer constantly teleports, eventually dying. Rarely does he manage to hide under something and survive.
A torch that is mounted on a block or in the hands of a player is not extinguished by rain. Still, rain is powerless in front of lava, but it is able to extinguish the fire on the surface (except for the fire of the hellish stone). New mobs do not spawn in the rain, but old ones do not burn during the day (as is usually the case), as the rain prevents this.
There are several types of biomes in the world of Minecraft. In those in which the air temperature is high (desert), rain is impossible. At the same time, rain can fall on sand, for example, located on a beach, but only if it is not a desert biome. It is often possible to see lightning and hear thunder during the rain.
