In Minecraft, the hatch acts as a horizontal door, occupying only one block of space. The hatch can be made of wood or iron. The iron hatch can only be opened with additional means.
Features of hatches
The hatch can be attached to the sides of solid blocks. When a block with an attached hatch is destroyed, the latter will also break. Any hatch can be installed in two ways - attach it to the bottom of the block, in which case it will open upward, or attach it to the top of the block, in which case the bow will open downward. The first option is considered "overhead", since it allows you to keep a flat surface above your head, the second is considered "sex", because it keeps a flat surface under your feet.
The hatches cannot burn or let liquids, snow or rain pass through, although light passes through them freely, which is often used for interesting room decor. Hatches are often used to create furniture, for example, they are used for lifting tables. When folded down, hatches are often used as shutters or in flower beds.
Hatches, like doors and gates, can be activated with a redstone. Receiving a signal (pressing a button, plate, lever) moves the hatch to a vertical position. By connecting multiple hatches with a chain of red dust, draw bridges and various traps can be created.
Prescription hatch
To make the trapdoor, you need 4 iron ingots or planks. They need to be placed on the workbench in a square on the lower right side of the crafting (item creation) grid. Planks are obtained from wood, which is obtained from trees with an ax. If you do not have an ax, you can get the required resource with your hands or any other tool, it just takes a little more time.
Iron ingots are a little more difficult to get. You will need a stone pickaxe. It can be done on a workbench by filling the top horizontal with cobblestone blocks, and two-thirds of the central vertical with regular sticks. Iron ore can be found almost everywhere below level 64. The easiest way to explore is the top of the nearest cave. This ore is often found alongside coal.
To get iron ingots from ore, smelt it in a furnace. A stove can be made on a workbench by filling all 8 outer cells with cobblestones, after which it can be placed in a place convenient for you. Open the furnace by right-clicking on it, put a suitable fuel (coal, wood, lava bucket) in the lower cell, put iron ore in the upper cell and wait a few seconds until it melts into ingots.
