Configuring the ISS Internet connection does not imply the use of additional third-party software and is performed using standard Windows operating system tools. In this case, the version of Windows 7 is considered.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button and enter the value "services" in the text box of the search bar. Confirm the scan by pressing the function key Enter and call the context menu of the found element "Wired auto-tuning" by clicking the right mouse button. Specify the "Properties" item and use the "Auto" option in the drop-down list of the "Startup type" line in the opened dialog box. Confirm your choice by clicking the "Run" button and use the "Apply" command to save the changes made. Once again authorize the execution of the selected command by pressing the OK button.
Step 2
Return to the main system start menu and enter the value "view network connections" in the text box of the search bar. Confirm the scan by pressing the Enter function key and locate the Local Area Connection item in the new dialog box. Call the context menu of the found element by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Properties" item. Use the Authentication tab in the next dialog box and apply the check box next to Enable IEEE 802u1X Authentication. Specify "Microsoft: Protected EAP" in the drop-down directory of the line "Select a network authentication method" and apply the checkboxes in the fields "Return to unauthorized network access" and "Remember my credentials …".
Step 3
Use the "Options" button and uncheck the "Verify server certificate" box in the next dialog box. Click the Configure button and uncheck the Use Auto Login … box in the dialog box that appears. Confirm your choice by clicking the OK button and authorize the application of the saved changes by clicking the OK button in the previous window.
Step 4
Use the "Advanced Options" button and select the "User Authentication" option in the drop-down directory of the "Authentication" line. Confirm your choice by clicking the "Save Credentials" button and enter the values for the ISS account name and password in the appropriate fields of the final dialog box.
