Bashtel is a popular Internet service provider in Bashkiria that provides Internet services via PPPoE. All configuration can be done using standard Windows or Linux tools, you just need to use the appropriate menu items and enter your data.

Step 1
In Windows Vista or Seven, open the Start menu and select Connect. In the window that appears, select the "Set up a network connection" option. For Windows XP, this item is located in the "Start" - "Settings" - "Network Connections" menu.

In the "Select a connection option" window that opens, specify "Internet connection", and then click the "Next" button. Then left-click on the item "High-speed (with PPPoE)".

Enter the username that is specified in the details for your account. Check the "Remember password" checkbox and enter any name in the connection name field. For example, Bashinformsvyaz. Then press the "Connect" button and wait until the connection and parameters are checked.

To configure the Internet from this provider in Linux, go to NetworkManager from the graphical shell of the system. The icon of this program is highlighted in the upper right part of the desktop.

In the window that appears, click on the "DSL" tab and press the "Add" button on the right side of the screen. In the "Connection name" item, enter any name. If you want the connection to be carried out immediately after logging into the system, then check the box next to the "Connect automatically" item.

In the "DSL" tab, enter your username and password. The Service field can be left blank. Click the mouse button on the "IPv4 Settings" tab located on the right side of the settings window. In the drop-down menu "Method" select "Automatic (PPPoE)". Check all the specified information and click "Apply".

Close all open windows and right click on the Networ Manager icon. In the drop-down list, select the name of your created connection and wait until the connection ends. If everything goes well, you will see a corresponding notification in the upper right part of the window.
