Step 1
DNS settings can be accessed in the corresponding menu of the hosting control panel. Usually this function is called DNS Menu or even just “DNS Setting”. The table of hosts and corresponding DNS records must contain the "Hostname" and "Record Type" fields. When making an entry, remember that the hostname can be written in full with a mandatory dot at the end (primer.mysate.ru.) Or simply as a subdomain (pimer) without a dot. Both options are valid.

In the next field after the name, you need to select the type of record. Different recording types are used depending on the purpose. Record type A regulates the establishment of a correspondence between the host name located in the domain and the corresponding IP address. For example, in order for the name mycomp.mydomain.com to point to a home computer with IP 192.167.0.3, you must enter an entry in the "Hostname" field mycomputer.yourdomain.com., In "Record type" A, in "IP address" 192.167.0.3 respectively. Moreover, a period after the host name is required, and after the IP address is not needed.

The Canonical Name (CNAME) record type, which stands for Canonical Name, allows you to assign a mnemonic name or alias to a host. The newname.mysate.ru record. CNAME sate.ru. in the presence of sate.ru. A 192.168.0.1 should be understood as follows: the mnemonic name newname.mysate.ru allows access to the sate.ru domain. at the alias address, that is, newname.mysate.ru. Thus, you can create a mnemonic name in the form of a third-level domain name, for example, www.mysate.ru, for a site located on google.com. In this case, the mysate.ru domain must be "parked" on some server. For this purpose, it is convenient to use the registrar servers, which are usually provided free of charge.
