It is necessary

  • - network cables;
  • - LAN card.

Instructions

Step 1

Determine the most powerful computer on the specified local network. If it includes more than 10 PCs, then it is recommended to choose a dual-core computer with more than 3 GB of RAM. Connect the provider's cable to the selected computer.

Step 2

Set up your internet connection. Do not specify any additional parameters. Configure the settings as recommended by your ISP. Make sure Internet access is active and working.

Step 3

Now connect the second NIC to the host computer. You can also use one multi-link network adapter. Connect this computer to the local network using an additional network card.

Step 4

Open the list of network connections. Right click on the icon of the network adapter connected to the network. Open its properties. Now select the Internet Protocol TCP / IP and go to its properties. Check the box next to Use the following IP address. Enter an IP value of 216.216.216.1. This computer will act as a gateway for other PCs to access the Internet.

Step 5

Go to the properties of the newly created internet connection. Select the Access menu. Check the box next to "Allow other network users to use this PC's internet connection". Save your network adapter settings.

Step 6

Now move on to setting up the secondary computer. Open the list of local networks. Go to the TCP / IP settings menu. Set the following values for each item in this menu:

216.216.216. X - IP address;

255.255.255.0 - Subnet mask;

216.216.216.1 - The main gateway;

216.216.216.1 - Preferred and alternate DNS servers.

Step 7

Configure the rest of the computers in a similar manner. Naturally, X should be less than 250 and more than 2.
