The majority of users create their own local networks to open Internet access to several devices at once. To achieve this goal, you must be able to set the correct parameters for all computers or laptops.
Necessary
network cable, network adapter
Instructions
Step 1
First, create a miniature local area network consisting of two computers or laptops (a combination of a computer + laptop is also possible).
Step 2
Select equipment that will be provided with direct access to the Internet. Note the fact that it must have at least two network adapters. Otherwise, purchase the required number of network cards.
Step 3
Connect both computers (laptop) together. Use a network cable for this.
Step 4
Open the settings of the network adapter connected to the other PC on the first computer. Go to TCP / IP Properties. In this menu, change only one parameter: activate the "Use the following IP address" item and set its value, for example, 145.145.145.1.
Step 5
Connect the internet connection cable to the other network card. Configure this connection so that it meets the requirements of the provider. Make sure you have internet access.
Step 6
Open the properties of the created connection. Select the Access menu. Check the box next to "Allow other computers on the network to use this PC's Internet connection." Save the settings.
Step 7
Leave the first computer. Its configuration is completely complete. Go to the TCP / IP properties of the second PC's network adapter. Below are the settings parameters, the values of which follow from the IP address of the network card of the first computer: - 145.145.145.2 - IP address;
- Automatically assigned subnet mask;
- 145.145.145.1 - The main gateway;
- 145.145.145.1 - Preferred DNS server.
Step 8
Save the parameter changes. Check for internet access.
