Sometimes, when opening an e-mail box, the user notices that some of the e-mails are missing, or even all of the incoming emails. Correct actions in this case will help to recover the lost information.
Instructions
Step 1
Remember all your actions with the mailbox and letters that you did the day before. Most email services have a special button called "Clear Inbox." By clicking on it, you could accidentally delete all existing letters. In this case, pay attention to the "Trash" or "Deleted Items" folder. After deletion, all the information initially goes exactly there and some time remains before the automatic cleaning of the pack by the server. If your letters really ended up in the "Trash", restore them by pressing the appropriate key.
Step 2
Examine your Spam or Junk Mail folder. Most of the mailboxes have automatic protection against suspicious messages and automatically place some of them in the appropriate folder. Very often, it even contains incoming messages that are not spam and are important to the recipient. Restore them to the main folder and mark them as important in order to prevent them from being deleted by the robot in the future.
Step 3
Search your inbox for the letter you want if the folder is full of them, but you don't see what you want. Perhaps you accidentally chose a different way of organizing information, as a result of which new letters get lost among the old ones. Searching by the name of the letter, the sender or the phrases contained in the attachment will help to find the loss.
Step 4
Make sure that no unauthorized person has access to your mail. If you notice a suspicious loss of your letters, or they turn out to be read without your participation, the mailbox may have been hacked. Change the password for accessing it to a more complex one.
Step 5
Contact the administration of the postal service. In the settings or help window, you can find the coordinates for contacting technical support. Write a letter to the specified email address or call by phone, outlining the essence of the problem. If the reason for the loss of letters was technical problems of the postal service, the administration will help you quickly solve the problem.
