Instructions
Step 1
The home page in Wordpress is an element that displays all published posts or announcements to them. If you want to create only navigation elements on it and display static content, and publish the list of records on another page, go to the admin panel (https:// your_site / administrator /) and select the "Pages" - "Add new" section.
Step 2
Enter a title for the new page and paste in the required content. After the necessary settings, click the "Publish" button. In the same way, create another page where you want to display all active content.
Step 3
Go to "Options" - "Reading". In the settings window that appears, select "Static Page". For the "Home" item, select the name of the first created page in the previous step. For "Records Page" select the second option.
Step 4
To edit the master page template, you can also change the desired parameters in the code yourself. The index.php file is responsible for the order of displaying elements. Download it to your computer using an FTP client, hosting control panel, or open it directly through the "Code Editor" in WordPress. All records are displayed in blocks, each of which has a specific purpose and settings. For example, it is responsible for displaying site information and titles. A more detailed list of all possible parameters is given in the documentation for the engine. After making the changes, do not forget to upload the edited file back to the hosting using an FTP program.
