The social network VKontakte or VK completely switched to a new design in the summer of 2016, and in this regard, many users began to experience difficulties with how to hide VK friends in the new version. To do this, it is enough to understand where the access to user settings is now located.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to hide friends in the new version of VK, go to your page using your current username and password, wait for the final loading of the site. Previously (in the old version), access to the privacy settings of the page was carried out through the "Settings" menu item located on the left side of the user profile. However, now these parameters have moved to a different place, which causes difficulties for those who are accustomed to the old design over the years of using the social network.
Step 2
Pay attention to the upper right corner of the page, where the user's mini-avatar and his name are now located. Click on the arrow next to them, and a new VKontakte system menu will unfold in front of you. Click on the "Settings" item, and in a few seconds a familiar page will open with the ability to specify certain parameters of the social network. Do not forget to see what other settings options are available to you in order to quickly switch to them in the future on the new VK design.
Step 3
Click on the "Privacy" menu item on the right, where the main functions are located that allow you to hide friends in VK in the new version. At the bottom of the first section titled "My Page" you will see the item "Who can be seen in the list of my friends and subscriptions." Click on it, and you will see a list of current friends, as well as users you follow. Check the boxes next to those you want to hide and click "Save Changes". Now the selected users will not be visible to visitors to your page.
