In 2016, the design of the VK social network familiar to users was updated without the possibility of a reverse transition. Along with this, the location of the settings has changed, allowing, for example, to delete the VKontakte page in the new version. Contrary to false rumors, users can still delete their profile without any problems through a dedicated menu.

Step 1
The settings with which you can delete the VKontakte page in the new version have moved to a slightly modified user menu located in the upper right part of the site. It is available to users who have successfully logged into their page. After that, just click on the thumbnail of your photo to see the updated menu. You will need its item called "Settings".
Step 2
Immediately after entering the settings menu, pay attention to the bottom of the first tab (General). It is here in the new version that there is a link with a proposal to delete the VK page. Click on it, then select the reason for deleting the VK profile from the list that appears (optional). You can also check the box "Tell friends" to inform your contacts about the desire to stop using this social network.
Step 3
After completing the above steps, a notification will be sent to your mailing address about the successful deletion of the VK page. However, it will take 6 months to completely delete your page. During this entire period, you will have the opportunity to restore your profile at any time. It is enough to log into the social network using your username and password from the corresponding page, and then select the "Restore" option.

If you are unable to delete the VKontakte page in the new version, or you want to delete it permanently, or have lost access, try contacting the help section located in the upper left part of your profile. Select the appropriate help desk for the information you need. In addition, you can send a message to VK technical support and ask to perform this or that action for you. Usually technical support staff will help with such problems.
