Step 1
To connect to the Internet, select and buy yourself a modem. There are a large number of them. Connect it through the dedicated connector to your computer. Install the software, that is, the driver. Usually the software disc is included with the modem. If you have a desire to check if the modem is connected correctly, go to the "Control Panel" through the "Search". Select the "Modems" section and go to the "Diagnostics" tab. In the window, click on "Advanced". Information about your connection should appear.

Set the dialing options. To do this, open the "Control Panel" and go back to "Modems". There is a General tab. Click Dialing Options. A window will open in which select the "Pulse" checkbox for the "Type of dialing" column. The modem is connected and the driver is installed. Now you only need to connect to the internet. Go to the "control panel". Find "Network" there. Select the "Add" item and click on it with the mouse. A window will open in front of you, where find the "Network card" tab. Click "Add" again. Select the Microsofrt tab in the "Manufacturers" section, and select "Remote Access Controller" in the "Network Cards" column. Click the "Ok" button.

Click on "Start" and select "Dial-up Networking". Then click on "New Connection". A window will open where enter the name of the connection. Click on "Next" with the mouse. Now configure the network for a specific provider. Click on the icon with the right mouse button. Go to "Properties". There, fill in all the required fields: "Server type", "Remote server type". Set "Advanced Options". Uncheck the box next to Log on to the network. Go to "valid network protocols". There, uncheck all the available checkboxes in the protocols, except for TCP / IP.
