To display links in a language that describes the entire content of a web page, there is a special instruction - "tag". To establish a link to a page, you need to place such a tag with the parameters you need - "attributes" in the page source code. Details about this tag and its insertion into the site page are below.
Instructions
Step 1
The tag that creates the hyperlink consists of two parts - an opening part and a closing part. Between them is placed either link text, or a picture, or some other "linked" page element. A simple example with a text link: Text link The only required information that needs to be placed in the opening tag is the URL of the link. This is what the href attribute contains. In addition to this required attribute, there may be additional ones, for example, an attribute indicating that this link should be opened in a new window: Text link Or an attribute that prohibits search robots from indexing this link: Text link There can be many attributes, for example, you can specify both of the above and add a link identifier used by any script on this page: Text link The link used in this example is an internal site link, that is, it leads to a page within the same Internet resource. The external hyperlink will be distinguished by the mandatory presence of the full address, and not just the name of the page file: Text link Here we have outlined the necessary minimum that you should know about the tag that forms the hyperlink in the source HTML code of the page (HTML: HyperText Markup Language - "hypertext markup language") … Now you can proceed to the practical steps for link placement.
Step 2
If you use any of the site management systems to manage your Internet resource, then perhaps it has a page editor with a built-in visual editing mode (WYSIWYG: What You See Is What You Get - “what you see is what you get you will receive "). In this case, everything is very simple - first, in the page editor, open the one in which you want to place the link. Then find the place where the link should appear - the page visually looks the same as on the site itself. Click this place with the mouse and write the link text, and then select it and click the "Insert link" button in the editor panel. Then, in the window that opens, paste the hyperlink address you need, click "OK" and finish editing the page, saving the changes.
Step 3
If there is no visual mode in the page editor of your system, then the necessary link must be inserted directly into the html-code of the document. Find the right place in it and add the link tag in the form that we discussed at the beginning of the article. Then save the page with your changes. All this can be done not only in the page editor of the control system, but also in a regular text editor, if the page file is at your disposal. In this case, after editing it, you must upload it back to the server by overwriting the existing page file.
